Masters and PhD Admissions Requirements
Masters Admissions
Depending on the university you are applying to, these documents may be required:
- 1. Degree certificate
- 2. Transcript for all post-secondary education i.e., diploma and degree
- 3. Academic CV
- 4. Statement of Purpose
- 5. References - mostly 2 or 3 (academic & professional).
- 6. Years of professional working experience.
- 7. English proficiency certificate: one of these may be needed:
- i. A letter written by an authority including the dean, registrar from your previous tertiary institution.
- ii. English proficiency test results e.g. IELTS, TOEFL.
- iii. Being a citizen from selected countries e.g. Ghana.
- 8. Others - research experience.
PhD Admissions
For PhD applicants, these documents are usually required:
- 1. Degree certificates – bachelors, masters.
- 2. Transcripts – bachelors* and masters.
- 3. Academic CV.
- 4. Statement of Purpose.
- 5. Potential supervisor.
- 6. Research Publications or Experience.
- 7. References – mostly 2 or 3 (academic and professional).
- 8. English proficiency: one of these will be needed:
- i. A letter from an authority including the dean, registrar from your previous university.
- ii. English proficiency test results e.g., IELTS, TOEFL.
- iii. Being a citizen of some countries - e.g. Ghana.
- *Bachelors holders could be offered straight PhD admission in exceptional circumstances.
